AWATAR ( Any Where Any Time Advanced Reservation ) is a web based passenger reservation introduced by KSRTC in 2006 that facilitates e-booking and mobile booking of tickets.  

Tips for online booking  : 

Free Travel is permitted in city buses (Except A/C buses) within the city limits within the period before 2 hours of the departure time and till departure time of the service.

If you book tickets for a round trip you will get 10% discount  

To avail 25% discount for senior citizens you can book only one seat in a transaction 

KSRTC has the following bus types: 

Airavat A/C Volvo - Air-conditioned, semi-sleeper and executive services

Meghadoot A/C - Air-conditioned, sleeper and executive services 

Mayura A/C - Semi-sleeper and executive services 

Rajahamsa - Non air-conditioned, semi-sleeper and executive 

Karnataka Sarige - Non air-conditioned, regular services 

KSRTC AWATAR Online Booking: Some important points to consider 

It is mandatory to register on the KSRTC website. You will be given a username and password.

Payment can be made via debit/credit card

Details of photo ID proof ( Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, Any ID Card issued by Government Department etc. ) necessary booking of ticket and during journey

Softcopy of ticket will be sent by AWATAR online booking service to e-mail and mobile phone. This can be shown on the laptop or mobile (without any modification to the format) during journey

E-tickets can also be printed by logging on through his User ID from View Booking History (‘My Itineraries’) of login page.

Printing facility is available at any of the counters of KSRTC/Franchisee by quoting PNR number and providing ID proof. This printing is subject to conditions and counters working hours. Passenger could avail this facility up to departure time of service from originating place.

All transactions on Internet are subject to the conditions stipulated by the Financial Gateway and subject to levy of charges, if any. The KSRTC will levy a service charge of 2.5% on the fare applicable for each seat in addition to the fare payable.

25% senior citizen concession available only if one seat is booked in a transaction. Age proof must be produced at time of journey

Tickets booked through e-booking/m-booking will be allowed for cancellation online only till the booking closes for the service or till the time allowed as per cancellation slab whichever is earlier. Cancellation is allowed on-line only if they login with the same USERID used for booking the ticket, which is to be cancelled. In respect of cancellations, refunds applicable will be made to the concerned Credit card / Online banking account only. E-ticket should be cancelled by user himself. E-mail requests for cancellations shall not be considered. Such requests will be considered only when Awatar application is not functioning.

Passengers are requested to arrive at the Boarding/Pickup point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time of departure of service.

Bookings for concessional pass holders like Blind Persons, Physically Handicapped Persons, Police Motor Warrants, Family Pass to KSRTC employees, Duty Passes to KSRTC employees, Freedom Tickets etc. are not allowed in e-booking/m-booking.

After booking of ticket, user should verify the details immediately. In case of any discrepancies, ticket should be cancelled within 10 minutes from the time of booking to avail full refund.

Any request regarding cancellation, refund or other issues, e-mail has to be sent from the users e-mail address registered with KSRTC.
